Baby Ashiya Zahid Siddiqui, a newborn child, is fighting for her life in the NICU at Little Fern NICU, Horizon Prime Hospital. Born full-term through a normal delivery, Ashiya initially appeared healthy. However, within hours of birth, she developed severe respiratory distress, turning her parents’ joy into unimaginable fear.

Medical investigations revealed that Ashiya is suffering from Left Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) — a rare and life-threatening congenital condition where abdominal organs move into the chest cavity, severely affecting lung development and breathing. Due to her critical condition, she was urgently shifted to a higher-level NICU for advanced care.

Currently, Baby Ashiya is on ventilator support and inotropes and is battling severe septic shock. She requires continuous intensive care, high-end antibiotics, strict monitoring, and pre-operative stabilization before she can safely undergo life-saving surgery.
