A newborn life is fighting for survival. Baby of Afreen Niyaz Shaikh, born prematurely at just 31 weeks, is currently admitted to the NICU at Horizon Prime Hospital, Thane. Weighing only 1.68 kg, the baby is suffering from severe respiratory distress and is dependent on CPAP respiratory support to breathe.

The baby requires at least 14 days of continuous NICU care, including respiratory support, antibiotics, nutritional support, and close monitoring by doctors and nurses. This critical period will determine the baby’s chance to grow stronger and live a healthy life.

Unfortunately, the baby’s family comes from limited financial means and is unable to bear the high cost of neonatal intensive care. They are doing everything they can—but they cannot do it alone.
